Despite the fears about the spread of the delta variant of the corona virus and the increasing new COVID daily cases, the U.S stocks rebound on prominent second-quarter corporate earnings. The top European benchmark indexes closed higher about 0.28% to 1.68% as a weekly gain on optimism about the upcoming corporate earnings season and the European Central Bank’s (ECB) reaffirmation of its dovish monetary policies. The French index CAC-40 outperformed. However, the concerns that the increase in new daily Covid-19 cases, keeps the sentiment negative for the week.

The APAC benchmark index closed with the mixed direction for the week. The indexes Nifty-50, Kospi-100, Hangseng-50 and Japan’s Nikkei-225 declined about -0.42% to -2.57% as a weekly drop. On the other hand, the indexes CSI-50 and ASX-200 closed higher for the week.
